- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to determine the capability and availability of commercial sources to research, develop, and compose a series of history books highlighting the St. Paul District between the years 2000 � 2025.� The composition of the books will include a topical narrative presentation with appropriate illustrations, footnotes, bibliography, index, and appendices. The contractor will conduct interviews with past and present employees, will collect and digitize photographs and maps to illustrate the history as a means to gather research.� The contractor shall submit research proposals, detailed topic outlines, concluding with a final book in Microsoft Word and PDF for each contract year.� Contractor should have five years� experience and shall possess a bachelor�s degree or higher in history with a focus in American history and have a familiarity with public works and government community relations.� THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS. Firms submitting responses should indicate whether they are large business, small business, veteran-owned small business, small disadvantaged business, women-owned small business, or HUB Zone. The NAICS code will be 511120, with the Small Business Size Standard is 1,000 employees. ANY INTERESTED FIRM CAPABLE OF PROVIDING THESE SERVICES IS REQUESTED TO RESPOND VIA E-MAIL TO ROBERTA.L.JUST@USACE.ARMY.MIL BY 10:00 A.M. CST ON AUGUST 20, 2021 with the following documentation: Interested parties shall submit literature and capability summaries identifying, at minimum, business size, and past and/or current performance researching and writing history books. Interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as prescribed in FAR Clause 52.232-33. This notice is not considered to be a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited: no basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result from a response to this Sources Sought or Government use of any information provided. The Government reserves the right to consider any business arrangement as deemed appropriate for this procurement. The issuance of solicitation is anticipated on or about the August 23, 2021.
