The Specifications call for the LVT to be welded where it meets the carpet. The question is, is this a generic statement meaning the seams be addressed with transition strips? Answer: Yes it is a generic statement, the LVT is physically separated from the carpet by the transition strip. 2. If #1 is not generic where are the locations that the welding will take place (where is the broadloom carpet)? Answer: #1 is generic, transition strips are the material that goes between carpet and LVT, carpeting area is the second floor ops floor space, the 2 office areas connected to the Ops floor. This carpeting is the material for covering the access flooring, so the installation needs to be done with carpet tiles, that match the access flooring dimensions and placement, so access flooring can accessed one tile at time if needed. 3. Is the elevator in working order so that it may be used to move materials both ways? Answer: The elevator is in working condition and may be used to move material both ways. If any issues arise that effect the operation of the elevator, COR will coordinate with bldg. manager and CE to correct. 4. To confirm, the previous contract for Bld.600 Flooring required all members of our team be US Citizens, is this the case for this solicitation, correct? Answer: Yes, correct, this is the requirement for the entire project, both floors, all members of your team must be US citizens. 5. Will the warehouse space used for storing materials for phase 1 be available for phase 2? Answer: Yes, the warehouse space (room 118) in our building may be used for staging of project materials. The rear of building 600 is available for spacing of contractor provided dumpsters and/or outside material container if needed. 6. During the site visit we were shown where brass or gold colored transition strips were currently being used. Are we to replace with rubber or in kind? Answer: Transitions strips are to be replaced in kind, if existing is rubber than new will be rubber, if existing is metal then new will be metal, if existing is marble then new will be marble. 7. Do you have a photo of the corner guards? Hopefully a photo with the guard popped off the retainer. Answer: The corner guards need to be similar to Inpro 160 High Impact cut sheet provided to offer the material specifications. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ See RFI 0001 - W50S8C-21-Q-0009 attachment for questions and answers recieved as of 7 August 2021 or below: 1. I reviewed the attachments looking for a specific manufacturer spec on the materials to use. I could not find a particular manufacturer. Answer: There is no specific manufacturer for any of the line items or specs, which is why there is only general descriptions of those salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics of the material in the SOW. 2. I did see on the CLINS pricing items purchase request numbers. Have you ordered the product? Answer: No, we have not ordered any material, which is why the line items identify the amount of quantity required for each material. 3. Are we only coordinating and installing the various flooring materials and molding? Answer: No, the solicitation requires providing the new material and all labor, tools, parts, transportation, equipment, materials, supplies, services, permits, insurance, and supervision necessary to complete as per Statement of Work, which would also capture the coordinating and installing the various flooring materials and molding. 4. Did you buy or preorder the adhesives also? Answer: We did not buy or preorder any adhesives. 5. Do you have a sense of color choices or should we just pick some more standard products and once awarded allow you to select from a few different colors?
