Description
This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) for construction services.� The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Area (SEA) Subtropical Horticulture Research Unit in Miami FL., has a requirement to Reinforce existing 10' long by 10' wide concrete crossing between fields. The solicitation number is 12405B21R0031 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFP).� The NAICS code is 238110 with a size standard of $16.5M.� Contractors shall not directly contact the�facility to discuss this requirement.� During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity for a site visit and to ask any relevant questions. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Area (SEA) Subtropical Horticulture Research Unit in Miami FL., has a requirement to Reinforce existing 10' long by 10' wide concrete crossing between fields. The work consists of but is not limited to: Provide all labor and materials required for installing culverts and anchoring new concrete poured around the culverts to the existing crossing. Remove sediment under crossing down to the base of the existing crossing. Epoxy�"" rebar into the existing structure at 12"" OC intervals leaving 12"" +/- of rebar extending out from existing structure to anchor into pumped concrete. Place two (2) 36"" culverts centered and spaced evenly under the existing crossing structure so that each end will extend past the wood forms to be installed for the concrete. Install wood forms around the culverts at each side of the crossing suitable for the pumping of concrete into the void between the OD �of the culverts and the existing crossing structure. Pump 4000 psi concrete into the void until completely full and allow extra for settling so void is full after hardening. Remove forms after concrete has hardened. Contractors are required to be actively registered in the System for Award Management, (SAM) prior to submitting a proposal.� You can register on- line at www.sam.gov. �If you are already registered and your registration has expired, you will need to go the SAM website and update your information to reactivate your registration. Please refer to Section L.9 (b) of the attached Clauses and Provisions for site visit information.
