- The US Army Medical Command, Regional Health Contracting Office-Central, Ft. Bliss Health Contracting Cell, Fort Bliss, TX is issuing this sources sought synopsis on behalf of William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC). This sources sought is issued as a means of conducting market research to identify parties that have an interest and have the resources to support this requirement for Training Aids (simulators) for Medical Procedures. Salient Characteristics: Ultrasound Guided Percardiocentesis Simulator (Quantity of 2) and Puncture Pads (Quantity of 2 Pairs). Ultrasound Guided Thoracentesis / Percardiocentesis Simulator full set simulator must have the ability to facilitate training in Thoracentesis and Percardiocentesis. Puncture sites must be anatomically correct and reproduce realistic needle-tip resistance and sensation. � Upper torso manikin must be able to set in multiple positions � Provide Ultrasound image � Provide feedback to the instructor and trainee on successful/unsuccessful procedures. � Simulator must contain Thoracentesis skills- Two sites for access: right mid-scapular line and left mid axially line Strap-on puncture units to learn patient positioning and communication Anatomy : ribs, pleura, soft tissue and diaphragm Palpated Ribs Mid-axially line unit: 6-9th rib Mid-scapular line unit: 8-11th rib Ability to control volume of pleural effusion at different levels. Simulator must contain Percardiocentesis skills- Must contain puncture site that can be determined by ultrasound and palpation. Anatomy must include ribs, heart, liver, soft tissue and xiphisternum. Replacement puncture pads. ���� 2. Chest Drain and Needle Decompression Trainer (Quantity of 2), Needle Decompression Pads (Quantity of 1), Advanced Chest Drain Pads (Quantity of 1), Standard Chest Drain Pads (Quantity of 1). Must contain Reservoirs with the ability to be filled with fluid or mock blood to represent pleural effusion. Simulator must be contain Bilateral chest drain and needle decompression pads. Must be able to be able to realistic impression of breathing under ultrasound while using the Advanced Chest Drain Pads. Must have needle decompression and air reservoirs that provide realistic release of air on insertion of needle. Simulator must be suitable for supine, sitting, and leaning forward positions. Latex Free Anatomy must be adult male thorax with the ability to raise arms. Bony and soft tissue landmarks that contain, manubriosternal joint, clavicles, ribs, pectoralis major and latissimus dorsi Internal ultrasound anatomy: diaphragmatic structures and collapsed lung. Needle decompression of a tension pneumothorax (at both the 2nd and 5th intercostal space) Open, or cut-down chest drain insertion: recognition of correct position, surgical incision, blunt dissection through chest wall, perforation of pleura and finger sweep. Suture of tube to chest wall. Ultrasound-guided chest drain insertion (Seldinger-type), including insertion of needle under direct vision and ultrasonic recognition of chest structures. Management of pleural effusion. Advanced Chest Drain Pads. Standard Chest Drain Pads.��� 3.�� Adult AirSim Combo X (Quantity of 4), Larynx Inserts (Quantity of 1), Wrap Around Neck Skin Replacement (Quantity of 1). Must be Adult Anatomy Airway and Nasal Cavity Simulator. Must contain anatomically correct internal features and visually accurate landmarks in airway and nasal passage. Must have wraparound replaceable neck skin rotates for up to 20 incisions. Must contain easy identification of sternal notch, tracheal rings and cricoid and laryngeal cartilages. Must have Inflatable tongue with lifelike texture can simulate edema. Must provide system with replaceable lung bags that can inflate with successful ventilation. Provide difficult airways for advanced training. Provide subcutaneous fat tissue that demonstrate more difficult tracheostomy and cricothyroidotomy procedures. Simulator must provide realism: o������������ Real feel skin covering. o������������ Realistic feedback during airway management procedure. o������������ Realistic features; palpable cricoid landmarks, laryngeal cartilages and tracheal rings to provide positive user feedback and easy identification of the sternal notch. o������������ Realistic skin material for improved intubation. o������������ Ability to replace skin, nasal passage, and airway. Realistic replacement Larynx inserts. Realistic replacement Wrap Around Neck Skin. Carry case. User Manual. Pen drive. Lubrication for Simulator. ��� 4.� Baby AirSimX (Quantity of 4) and Baby Airway (Quantity of 4). Must be Baby Simulator with realistic features. Must provide realistic feedback during airway management procedures including bag/mask ventilation, supraglottic airway insertion, both naso and orotreacheal intubation. Must contain realistic anatomically correct internal and external features with double naso-����� tracheal intubation. Skin covering must have a realistic life like feel. Realistic replaceable lung bags that provide feedback. Simulator must provide training capabilities for: Double nasotracheal intubation Endotracheal tube insertion Bag-valve mask (BVM) ventilation techniques Full range of supraglottic device insertion Direct and video laryngoscopy Carry case. User Manual. Pen drive. Lubrication for Simulator. Replacement Baby Airways. 5. Child AirSimX (Quantity of 4) and Child Larynx Inserts (Quantity of 1). Must be a Child Anatomy Simulator with Must be Child Simulator with realistic features. Must provide larynx with features palpable cricoid landmarks, laryngeal cartilages and tracheal rings. Must contain a tongue bulb, which can be inflated to create tongue edema providing a variance during training. Must provide user feedback through the visualization of stomach inflation and lung expansion. Must have the following features: Anatomically correct internal features and visually accurate landmarks in airway and nasal passage Wraparound replaceable neck skin rotates for up to 20 incisions Easy identification of sternal notch, tracheal rings and cricoid and laryngeal cartilages Inflatable tongue with lifelike texture can simulate edema Replaceable lung bags inflate with successful ventilation Difficult airways for advanced training Subcutaneous fat tissue demonstrates more difficult tracheostomy and cricothyroidotomy procedures. Simulator must provide training capabilities for: Needle and surgical cricothyroidotomy Percutaneous tracheostomy Double naso-tracheal intubation Bag-valve mask (BVM) ventilation techniques Full range of supraglottic device insertion Direct and video laryngoscopy including Sellick Maneuver Awake fiber optic examination Endotracheal tube insertion Combi tube insertion Naso gastric tube insertion techniques Carry case. �User Manual. �Pen drive. �Lubrication for Simulator.
