- DLA Aviation is conducting research to obtain information related to dual certification (DOT/ISO) cylinders.� DLA Aviation has an Industrial Gas and Cylinder Program that supports military and government agencies worldwide.� DLA Aviation is seeking information for dual certification cylinders for transport in Europe.� Currently, DLA Aviation utilizes DOT cylinders.� Attachment 1 is a list of current NSNs utilized on the Industrial Gas and Cylinder Program.� DLA Aviation is seeking manufacturers of dual certification (DOT/ISO) cylinders.� In addition, DLA Aviation is seeking information from dual certification manufactures if dual certification cylinders are currently available in the specifications listed in Attachment 1.� If cylinders are not available, please advise if an alternative is currently available.� NOTE:� All information provided within this RFI and associated data and documentation is subject to change and adjustment based on input received from industry.� This initiative contains NSNs purchased and/or managed by DLA. The NSNs should be referenced for cylinder types. The cylinder list and associated data is attached to this RFI as explained above. General Questions: How are dual-certified (DOT/ISO) cylinders currently purchased in the cylinder industry?�� Please provide the typical purchasing process, unit of issue, and any other associated information to help DLA understand the process.� �� What current DOT Cylinders have an equal match for dual-certification cylinders. If there is not an exact match is there a close replacement? Are you able to provide a list of matches? Will discreet pricing be required or are there commercially-published prices readily available? If commercially pricing is available, where and how can such pricing be obtained? Is there any other information that you deem pertinent in assisting DLA with this request?
