- Page 3 of 3 Using SDVOSB set aside The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, intends to solicit quotes from contractors to provide tile restoration services in support of the Jamaica Plain VAMC, 150 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, Ma 02130-4817. Background: VA Boston Healthcare System, Fisher House has ceramic and porcelain tiled flooring in all common areas and guest suite bathrooms. Due to heavy traffic and use, many areas with ceramic tiled flooring and grout are in emergency need for deep cleaning, grout staining and sealant restoration. This service is deemed essential by Environmental Management Services (EMS) to keep these high traffic flooring areas properly maintained and sanitized. Scope: Contractor shall furnish to the Government all labor, supervision, supplies, tools and equipment, travel and services necessary to prepare and apply protective sealant to approximately 4,876 square feet (ft2) of tile and grout. Restorative services, as requested, are to provide a like new appearance of the ceramic tiled flooring and grout. These surfaces will be deep cleaned to remove dirt, debris, odors and stains. Missing grout shall be replaced and match in both color and texture. Contractor IS NOT required to repair loose or broken tiles. NAICS Code is 238340 (Tile and Terrazzo Contractors) with a Small Business Size Standard of $16.5M. The product/service code is R499. The VA anticipates issuing a solicitation for this requirement on or about August 9, 2021. quotes will be accepted for a two-week period commencing with the issuance date of the solicitation. Interested contractors will be responsible for downloading copies of the solicitation (and any subsequent amendments) from that website, and no hard copies will be made available. The solicitation will provide instructions to contractors about the quote submission process. Prospective Offerors are encouraged to register their interest in the solicitation on the Contracting Opportunities website (beta.sam.gov) so that they are notified of the issuance of the solicitation and any amendments. This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming RFQ solicitation to satisfy the requirements of FAR 5.201 and 5.203. All interested parties should register via FEDBIZOPPS interested vendors list. It is the responsibility of the offeror to monitor and download amendments from FebBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, FAR 2.101, and VAAR 802.101, prospective firms must be registered in SAM (www.sam.gov), and in VetBiz (www.vetbiz.gov) databases prior to award. (Note: all vendors claiming Small Business status in accordance with the Veteran's First Contracting Program must be VERIFIED by the Office of Small Disadvantaged Business Utilization's Center for Veteran's Enterprise (CVE) prior to receiving an award under the program).
