Page 2 of 2 This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed-Price, contract. Under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) the Government anticipates entering into a Sole Source procurement negotiation with JohnsonDanforth & Associates, LLC. This company shall provide a five (5) year elevator inspection for VA San Francisco Healthcare System. The total estimated value of this contract is not to exceed $16,294.00, with a period of performance of 2 months. This is not a request for a proposal or quote. This is a Notice of Intent to Award a contract on a Sole Source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-5 pursuant to 38 U.S.C. 8127 and 8128, Sections 502 and 503 of Public Law (PL) 109-461 and VAAR 819.7007, which allows the Department of Veterans Affairs to make a Sole Source Award to a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The most applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 238290, Other Building Equipment Contractors. The Business Size Standard for this NAICS code is $16.5 million. All interest received on or before August 20, 2020, 5:00 p.m. Pacific will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation document is available. Responses to this notice shall be submitted by email (any attachments must be in MS Word, MS Excel, or Adobe PDF file format). The primary purpose of this acquisition is to provide the following actions: The VASFHCS is requesting a service to assist the primary Point of Contact (POC), and associates, for five (5) buildings to complete a required five (5) year elevator testing certification.
