Description

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Southern Region Midstates Section intends to award a Sole Source Purchase Order to Walz Label & Mailing Systems, 624 High Point Ln, East Peoria IL 61611, for extended warranty for four PS200 Hasler Folder Inserters and installed high-capacity feeders. Walz Label & Mailing Systems developed and owns the propriety and patented hardware, software, and algorithms that are used in these products and support the services specifically required for this acquisition; thereby the proposed source has the sole unique technical and other resources required for this requirement. This brand name product supports the extended warranty the IRS National Distribution Center need for continuity of operations. The proposed procurement is made under the authority granted under FAR 13.106-1(b) Brand Name Sole Source Justification for Acquisitions at or below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. This notice is neither a request for proposals nor a solicitation of offers. Any other interested organizations must submit a written statement of their capabilities and qualification to fulfill this requirement to the identified point of contact as soon as possible, but not later than 10:00 (CST)�August 19, 2021. All inquiries and concerns shall be addressed in writing to Contracting Officer Yvette Terrell, at yvette.a.terrell@irs.gov. Any such statement of capabilities and qualification received by the deadline will be evaluated solely or for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
