- This special notice serves as a notice of intent to award a sole source requirement to VORTEX SYSTEMS, LLC (3731 Rutledge RD NE Albuquerque, New Mexico 87109-5566) for various parts and accessories required for the update, maintenance, and enhancement of the existing U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), United States Border Patrol (USBP) Unattended Ground Sensor (UGS) inventory.� This inventory is used to perform detection activities, on or inside various architectural structures, and in, on or near ground surfaces and sub-surfaces.� This requirement facilitates the maintenance and update of a critical portion of the existing UGS program and the refresh of outdated technology.� USBP intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Purchase Order to fulfill these requirements. This proposed contract action is for items which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii).� This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by Friday, August 27, 2021 at 1:00pm Eastern Dayight Time.� A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� Any vendors who believe they can provide the items required and can provide proof of ability to meet the requirements should email their company's capabilities information to the attention of Contract Specialist Benjamin Dorgan by the response deadline indicated above.� Only email submissions sent to the following address will be accepted: benjamin.j.dorgan@cbp.dhs.gov.� No phone calls.� Information submitted should fully support the company's capability to meet the requirements of the USBP UGS program.
