- RFQ 36C24221Q1348 Special Notice: NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2, Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a Firm-Fixed Price sole source purchase order with Fisher Healthcare for the purpose of acquiring a Blood Centrifuge East Orange VAMC, NJ. The Government intends to negotiate solely with Fisher Healthcare per FAR 13.106-1(b), as no other source of supplies will satisfy agency requirements. Fisher Healthcare is a unique source for the Sorvall BP8 Blood Centrifuge capable of fulfilling the Government s needs. Sorvall BP8 centrifuge meets all our requirements that include the following: Self-contained refrigerated centrifuge for recombinant DNA preparation and genomic DNA/RNA/protein lysates preparations from cell lines and specimens. Multiple, large capacity centrifuge that satisfies all the regulations for doing recombinant DNA work and handling of blood/tissue samples. High capacity centrifuge that can accommodate 8 or more samples at a time. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334516 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will not pay for information submitted. Inquiries will only be accepted via email to Duane.philgence@va.gov and will consider responses received by 1:00 pm Eastern Standard Time on August 23, 2021. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
