Description
PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE Solicitation: 36C25221B0029 Project: 676-14-110B Replace Elevator in B402 Location: Tomah VA Medical Center 500 E. Veterans Street Tomah WI 54660-3105 This construction project involves the demolition of the existing elevator car, hoisting system, shaft, and the mechanical room along with the adjacent stairs that go from the first floor to the second. The existing shaft and stairwell will be infilled and become office spaces and storage rooms for first, second, and third floors. Two new elevators will be installed next to the existing elevator and mechanical rooms. The new shafts will be built in what are currently conference rooms and office spaces. Period of Performance is 400 calendar days after Notice to Proceed (NTP). The NTP shall be issued approximately 10 calendar days after award once required payment and performance bonds and certificate of insurance is provided. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220 General Construction; small business $39.5 Million size standard applies. Estimated price range for construction is between $2,000,000 - $5,000,000. Pursuant to Public Law 109-461, this solicitation will be issued as a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. In accordance with VAAR 819.7003(b), at the time of submission of bid, the bidder must represent that it is a SDVOSB concern, a small business concern under the NAICS code assigned to the acquisition, and is CVE verified for eligibility in the VIP database. All interested parties shall have a current registration and current annual On-line Representation and Certifications Application (ORCA) in the System Award Management (SAM) database https://www.sam.gov prior to award. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on https://www.sam.gov on, or about August 5, 2021 with a bid due date on, or about, September . A pre-bid site conference and a site walk-through for this solicitation is tentatively scheduled for the week of August 9, 2021 (exact time and location shall be provided with the formal solicitation package). All interested offerors, subcontractors and suppliers are strongly encouraged to attend.
