Description

NOTICE: THIS IS A SOLE-SOURCE PROCUREMENT, NOT A RFQ. The intent of this notice is to inform the vendor community of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Environmental Satellite Data and Information Service (NESDIS)'s proposed contract action. This proposed procurement is for items that the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than August 26, 2021, 4:00 PM, EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. NOAA intends to solicit a sole source contract to the GeoThinkTank LLC based on FAR 6.302-1 Only one Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The purpose of this procurement is to provide field campaign support for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Environmental Satellite Data, and Information Service (NESDIS), the Center for Satellite Applications and Research (STAR) for the USIR-CV EX (UAS Sea Ice Retrieval for Calibration/Validation Experiment), a NOAA Office of Marine and Aviation Operations UAS funded initiative to examine the ability of UAS to support calibration/validation of satellite retrieval of sea and lake ice.� The requirement is for a one-year base period and one-year option period.
