- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 2, intends to award a sole source award contract to Baxter Healthcare Corporation, 1 Baxter PKWY, Deerfield, IL 60015. The Bronx VA Medical Center is seeking to have its Dialysis Machines maintained for six months at 423 E. 23rd Street, New York, NY 10010. This a bridge service contract will provide scheduled annual preventative maintenance inspections where equipment is cleaned, checked and calibrated as necessary. Also included are: repair service, complete service reports documenting each call, includes all replacement parts and labor necessary to keep the equipment in its full working condition, and complete software and hardware upgrades and recall remediations necessary to comply with industry standards. Includes all necessary labor, tools, equipment, transportation and parts required to perform unlimited unit-related repair, corrective maintenance and one (1) preventative maintenance (PM) s per 12 months. All equipment shall be maintained in proper operating condition as specified by the manufacturer. Vendor must have access to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) parts, manuals and schematics to perform the service. Vendors must have their own schematics available on site at time of service. Phoenix Dialysis machines require proprietary software and parts to maintain units according to manufacturer specifications. These units must be kept to proper manufacturer specifications to provide safe treatment. Due to the fact that the equipment is manufactured by Gambro and Baxter being the sole distributor of the equipment, have proprietary rights of the Phoenix Dialysis Machines, which will satisfy agency requirements. Phoenix Dialysis machines require proprietary software and parts to maintain units according to manufacturer specifications. These units must be kept to proper manufacturer specifications to provide safe treatment. They have certified technicians and access to proprietary software and parts to provide proper service to these machines. Base period of six months. Period of Performance: - Base Period: October 1, 2021 to April 06, 2022 NAICS: 811219 (Size Standard $20.5 Million) THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by August 25, 2021 at 10:00 am EST.
