Description: The Air Force Test Center Operational Contracting Squadron (AFTC/PZIOA) Eglin AFB, FL intends to award a sole source contract to MEDTRONIC COVIDIEN SALES LLC. dba Given imaging; 3555 KROGER BOULEVARD SUITE 200 DULUTH, GA 300096, CAGE: 6VKK4 This requirement is for a Manometry Probe w/extended warranty: �� Item�� Quantity 3890�� MANOSCAN ESZ Z CATH X1�� 2 80372�� HRM CATHETER EXTENDED WARRANTY 1 YEAR� � � � � 2 The contract was a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Commercial Purchase Order and carried out as a sole source action (not competitively awarded). The statutory authority which permits other than full and open competition for this acquisition is 10 United States Code (USC) 2304 (c) (1), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b). This authority is supported by an approved Single Source Justification/Justification and Approval. The applicable NAICS code is 339112, and the size standard as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration is 1000 employees. The Eglin AFB Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) for the GI clinic which already owns and uses the Medtronic esophageal motility and manometry system.� These are replacement catheters and extended warranty for the current system in place. Per the manufacturer, its life expectancy is one year or 100 uses.� The extended warranty extends the life expectancy an additional year and an additional 150 uses. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. No solicitation package will be issued. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. All responses received by 12:00 pm CDT on 25 August 2021 will be considered by the Government. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals/quotes.
