Description
Page 2 of 2 Page 2 of 2 36C24221Q1352 SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE INTEGO PET INFUSION SYSTEM - ALBANY VAMC The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office NC02 in conjunction with the Albany VA Medical Center, 113 Holland Avenue, Albany, NY 12208, Neurology Department intend to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS code is 334510 with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with Bayer Healthcare for Intego PET Infusion System. This contract will be a Firm Fixed Price sole source. The Albany VAMC requires the purchase of a Intego PET Infusion system. The Intego, along with the Source Administration Set (SAS) and the Patient Administration Set (PAS) make up the PET infusion system. The system will be used to dose PET patients prior to scanning. The Intego PET Infusion System would be an integral part of the day-to- day operations of the PET CT department. This equipment increases quality of care to the patient and also to the technologist performing the exam. This system allows accurate, dependable infusion of the radiopharmaceutical while significantly reducing the radiation exposure to the patient and technologist. This is helpful because of the difficulty managing radiation exposure in PET imaging, especially that received by the staff. The system is comprised of a mobile cart with a self-contained means of measurement and infusion of the desired radiopharmaceutical. The computerized controls are touch- screen and user friendly. There is adequate space to accommodate the equipment and all electrical needs are satisfied with existing infrastructure. Other persons may identify their interest by responding to this requirement by Monday, August 23, 2021 at 10 am EDT. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.  All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government.  A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation is available at this time. All inquiries must be submitted by email to Idalia Algarin at Idalia.algarin@va.gov. Enter RFQ 36C24221Q1352 Intego PET Infusion System Albany in the email subject line.
