- Description
- In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b)(1), the US Environmental Protection Agency intends to award a sole source fixed price Purchase Order. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis for this requirement; and is issued for notification purposes only. This notice of intent is not a request for quote/proposal. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Center for Computational Toxicology and Exposure, Office of Research and Development, located in Duluth, MN has a requirement for acquisition of 5 CORALL mRNA-Seq library Prep Kits with UDI 12 nt Sets A1-A4 (UDI12A_0001-0384), 384 preps and 8 PCR Add-on Kit for Illumina, 96rxn. Purchase of these kits will enable EPA researchers to meet Agency commitments that critically depend on gene expression data. The use of any other kit would not be cost advantageous to the Government by not only trying to bring to validate another companies kit but compromise the data the Government has developed to date. Lexogen has been identified as the sole manufacturer and distributor for this requirement. and is the only company that supplies kits that do not fragment RNA through proprietary technology. Additionally, their kit reduces hands-on time (16 hours vs. 6). The attributes greatly enhance ability to deliver quality products to support the Agencys mission. Any interested party that believes it is capable of meeting this requirement described herein may identify themselves and must provide evidence of their capability to fulfill this requirement being requested by 11:00 ED on September 2, 2021. Responses must be submitted in writing to daggs.pam@epa.gov no later than the time and date noted above. Telephone responses and requests will not be accepted. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 325414 and standard business size is 1,000. All current and potential contractors shall use FedConnect which is available at https://www.fedconnect.net/FedConnect/default.htm. There is no charge to use FedConnect. FedConnect is hosted by Compusearch, all related questions from vendors/contractors will be answered by Compusearch. If having issues with FedConnect or not registered in FedConnect at this time an exception is extended and alternate responses may be received by e-mail: daggs.pam@epa.gov
