- Description
- This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.101(a)(2) requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract, and is not a request for competitive proposals. The statutory authority for this sole-source procurement is FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC), Tenant Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), 6565 Surveillance Loop, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland 21005 intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to Fluke Electronics Corporation, P.O. Box 9090, Everett WA 98206-9090, to purchase the following instrument: Fluke Model 5730A Meter Calibrator, 115 Volts including MIL-STD-130OUID, M130 Label with UID. The instrument will be used for calibration of DEWESoft SIRIUS-HD-16xLV data acquisition hardware used for Transportability testing. The DEWESoft data acquisition hardware is designed for use with only the Fluke 5730A calibrator model specified by DEWEsoft, and as supported and compatible with their hardware and software components. The instrument is proprietary to Fluke Electronics and can only be acquired through the company. No other solution can meet the Government�s need without unacceptable delays in fulfilling the requirement and/or substantial developmental costs. A firm-fixed price (FFP) contract delivery order will be issued using the General Services Administration (GSA) contracting vehicle. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334515 � Instrument Manufacturing for Measuring and Testing Electricity and Electrical Signals and the business size standard is 750 employees. Posting date of this requirement is 18 August, 2021. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This is a written notice to inform the public of the Government�s intent to award on a sole source basis the required supplies.
