- Description
- This is a synopsis notice is for commercial services and the intent to award an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Contract. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) intends to solicit as Full and Open the requirement for the refurbishment of LM2500 power turbine airfoils. �All vendors will be required to submit documentation verifying they have an active LM2500 power turbine airfoil repair capability, including the ability to apply platinum aluminide coatings after the physical component refurbishment has been completed.� This can be validated in the form of contracts, shop travelers, or other technical documents that demonstrate ongoing repairs.� Vendors that do not submit applicable repair standards and procedures, as well as proof of existing LM2500 power turbine airfoil repair capability, will not be considered by the Navy.� This acquisition will be issued as Unrestricted.� The NAICS code for this acquisition is 811310.� The Government intends to award an Indefinite Quantity, Indefinite Delivery, Firm Fixed Priced contract utilizing best value procedures.� The period of performance for this acquisition is anticipated to be a sixty (60) consecutive month ordering period, broken down as five (5) separate twelve (12) month ordering periods.� Solicitation is tentatively scheduled to be released on or about 15 October 2021 and will close thirty (30) days thereafter.� It is the intention of the Navy to issue this RFP through electronic means only. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database to be considered for award.� See https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ for further information and instructions. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties, however, may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement. The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this synopsis. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
