- AGENCY: NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SUBJECT: UFGS 08 34 16.10 Horizontal Rolling Steel Sliding Hangar Doors ACTION: This is a Request For Information (RFI) seeking industry written comment on a DRAFT REVISION of Unified Facilities Guide Specification addressing design and construction requirements of the Department of Defense (DOD) pertaining to Horizontal Rolling Steel Sliding Hangar Doors for aircraft hangars. SUMMARY: Companies and interested parties are requested to provide written electronic comments on the DRAFT REVISION Unified Facilities Guide Specification (UFGS) pertaining to Horizontal Rolling Steel Sliding Hangar Doors. Revision goals include increased industry competition, door reliability, door performance, door resilience and door safety. Comments to the DRAFT UFGS must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. EST no later than 01 September 2021.� Comments should be provided indicating the document paragraph number and page number they reference.� Do not submit proprietary data.� Submit reason for comment, and alternative or proposed wording, if applicable.� All comments are welcome including �Agree� or �No comment�.� The RFI will facilitate DOD market research for continued development of the subject UFGS document. All comments submitted in response to the RFI will be considered �For Official Government Use Only�.
