Description

The purpose of this amendment is to provide interested parties responses to questions presneted to the BEP. See Amendment 0002 in attachmnets.� The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is a component of the Department of the Treasury that designs, engraves, and prints U.S. banknote currency and other U.S. security products.��Banknote currency manufacturing occurs at BEP�s Eastern Currency Facility (ECF) located in Washington, DC and WCF located in Fort Worth, TX.��BEP�s primary customer is the Federal Reserve Board (FRB). BEP ECF�s, Office of Engraving, Division of Plate Manufacturing has a need to purchase a new Wire Electric Discharge Machining (EDM) Machine for use in the production of surface pieces.�These surface pieces are used on the Cope and LEPE machines, in the production of United States Currency. This procurement is a small business set aside. The associated NAICS code is 333517, Machine Tool Manufacturing. The Non-manufacturer rule is applicable to this procurement.
