- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District seeks a vendor to supply five (5) hydraulic cylinders that will be used to raise�miter gates for maintenance during lock dewaterings.��Gates range from 20� to 33� feet tall and weigh between 70 to 90 tons. Miter gates are jacked using two hydraulic cylinders positioned between the concrete chamber floor and the bottom of the gate.�Work is performed in winter months, often during extreme cold conditions. Required equipment includes five (5) �double-acting� hydraulic cylinders designed for rugged, high-cycle outdoor use, under extreme temperature conditions. Paint finish shall be enamel baked-on powder coating for increased corrosion protection. Minimum 100-ton push and 48 ton pull capacity. These will be powered with existing portable hydraulic pumps with four-way valves. Each cylinder to come with two (2) CR-400 couplers threaded into 3/8� x 18 NPTF. Maximum collapsed height of 28� and minimum stroke length of 18�. Minimum plunger diameter of 3.5� and minimum cylinder bore diameter of 5�. Must have plunger wipers to reduce contamination and ensure maximum cylinder life. A built-in pressure relief safety valve is required to prevent accidental over pressurization. The following submittals are required with the quote: a. Product Data The Contractor shall submit catalog cuts to the Government for the furnished rotating switch cam limit switch assembly under this contract that clearly indicates compliance with the requirements of the specifications. The Contractor shall provide the name of the manufacturer and the estimated lead time for fabrication and delivery of these assemblies which it proposes incorporating into the work. The estimated lead time shall be defined as from the date of contract award to date of delivery. b. Equipment Warranty The Contractor shall provide manufacturer's standard warranty (minimum one-year parts). The equipment�must be delivered to Fountain City, Wisconsin no later than October 22, 2021 This solicitation is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside Quotes must contain Product Data and Warranty Information sufficient to establish the product offered meets requirements. Product Data must contain Country of Origin information. Quotes received without sufficient information may not be considered for award. OFFEROR SHALL BE REGISTERED IN SAM (System for Award Management) https://www.sam.gov to include the FAR and DFARS Reps and Certs sections with the NAICS code applicable to the solicitation. Quotes received after the solicitation close time and date will not be considered for award.
