- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SINGLE-SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Bureau of Reclamation, Acquisition Operations Group, Denver, Colorado, intends to award a single source purchase order with Trimble Inc., located in Dayton, Ohio. DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND Bureau of Reclamation intends to single source contract with Trimble Inc. for three (3) Trimble SC 12 Scanners and three (3) GPC Receivers with accessories. The Bureau of Reclamation, Four Corners Construction Office (FCCO) currently has an inventory of Trimble survey equipment in active use. In order to ensure compatibility and functionality with the equipment on-hand, only Trimble survey equipment be certain to work with the existing Trimble equipment. NAICS 334519; Other measuring and controlling device manufacturing, size standard 500 employees. Market research indicates that only Trimble Inc. is the only vendor capable of provided the requested Trimble equipment on GSA eBuy. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is FAR 8.405-6(1)(i)(B), Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), only one source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. If firms believe they have the technical capability to meet this need, submit a technical capability statement along with business profile to Mr. Jason Motala at jmotala@usbr.gov within five (5) business days of this notice. Any information received will be treated as market research information towards future similar or same requirement. Quotations or proposals received in response to this notice will not be accepted since the synopsis is not a request for proposal.
