� � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � Special Notice� � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � BR-188 Density Gradient Fractionation System This is not a solicitation.� This is a notification of an intent to award a single source procurement under NAICS code 334516.� The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Foreign Disease Weed Science Unit (FDWSRU) in Ft. Detrick, MD will solicit and award a purchase order to�provide a BR-188 Density Gradient Fractionation System�and Accessories. This must be a complete system for collecting purified virus after ultracentrifugation. This includes a tube piercing system; syringe pump; UA-6 Detector with 254 and 280nm filters, R1 Fraction Collector, Density Gradient Flow Cell, cables, and tubing. Must include: Hands-off fraction separation Seals and punctures the bottom of most common centrifuge tubes Zone broadening, and mixing are minimized with upward bulk flow Built in chart recorder with paper and pens Complete accessory package included The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide this requirement.��� The�statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), only one source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.� If firms believe they have the technical capability to meet this need, submit a technical capability statement along with business profile to�Dilynn Rogers�at�dilynn.rogers@usda.gov�by�8/23/2021.�Any information received will be treated as market research information towards future similar or same requirements.� Quotations or proposals received in response to this notice will not be accepted since the synopsis is not a request for proposal.�� A determination to compete this action based on the responses received is in the sole discretion of the Government. All interested parties must express their interest and capabilities in writing via email to dilynn.rogers@usda.gov . No faxed documents will be accepted. If no responsive statements are received by�8/23/2021�at�12:00 PM EST, an award will be made to�Biomedical Research & Development Laboratories, Inc.
