- Pursuant to the authority at FAR 12.603(c)(2): (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The solicitation number for this is N0018921Q0458 and will be issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). � (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2021-06. � (iv) The Government intends to negotiate a firm-fixed-price (FFP) purchase order for supplies with services. The associated NAICS code is 336611 with a small business size standard of 1250 employees. (v) Line items are detailed as follows: LINE ITEM:� 0001 DESCRIPTION:�Pilot House (09-194-1-C) EXTENDED DESCRIPTION:� In accordance with the Performance of Work Statement and related attachments QTY:� 1 UNIT OF ISSUE: JOB LINE ITEM:� 0002 DESCRIPTION:�Flag Messroom (03-152-5-L), Chief of Staff Cabin (03-156-5-L), Flag Cabin (03-148-1-L) EXTENDED DESCRIPTION:� In accordance with the Performance of Work Statement and related attachments QTY:� 1 UNIT OF ISSUE: JOB For complete details of work requested and materials required, please refer to attachments. A MANDATORY site visit is scheduled for 1 September 2021 at 2:00 PM (EST) . Interested Vendors will meet with ship�s representative at the Pass and ID Office at 210 39th Street, Newport News, VA. ��Interested Vendors are required to arrive at 2:00 PM (EST) and will be escorted to the site. All visitors to Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) must coordinate access and submit a completed Form NN 9327 and complete a background check prior to access CVN 78. See attached documents for information on gaining shipyard access. Vendors not present for the site visit will not be considered.� Vendors must provide their own personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety goggles, and hard-toed shoes for the site visit.� Provide yourself adequate time to arrive to the site visit location on time. All vendors interested in attending the site visit must contact Contract Specialist Elysia Allen by email at elysia.allen@navy.mil� NO LATER THAN� 3PM (EST) THURSDAY, 26 AUGUST 2021: Please provide the following: Name Company Name CAGE Code Any questions may be asked at the site visit. All additional questions after the site visit must be submitted in writing by email NO LATER THAN 9:00 AM EST Thursday 2 SEPTEMBER 2021. All questions will be answered in writing and posted with the solicitation. � (vi) This requirement is for renovation for the USS GERALD R. FORD Flag Messroom (03-152-5-L), Chief of Staff Cabin (03-156-5-L), Flag Cabin (03-148-1-L), and Pilot House (09-194-1-C) in support of the USS GERALD R FORD. � (vii) The required the period of performance will start on or before 30 September and required completion of the entire project is no later than 15 March 2022.� The PLACE OF PERFORMANCE is: �is aboard the USS GERALD R FORD located at Newport News Shipbuilding.� FOB Destination will be used.� � (xiii) All clauses and provisions applicable to this requirement are included in the attached ""Clauses and Provisions"", Attachment 1.� �Clauses and Provisions to be signed�, Attachment 2, shall be signed and returned with the vendor�s quote unless referenced clauses and provisions are certified in SAM.� � (xiv) The Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) rating does not apply to this acquisition. (xv) All quotes are due by the date and time specified in this posting and shall be submitted via email to the POC email address stated in this posting.
