- Description
- COMBINED SYNOPSIS SOLICITATION NUMBER 36C25621Q1651 HOPTEL SERVICE - LODGING FOR TRANSPLANT DEPARTMENT AND FISHER HOUSE The solicitation is for lodging for Transplant and Fisher House. The purpose of the amendment is to provide a response to vendor questions. See responses below. QUESTION: How many room nights were needed per week for the ""liver and kidney transplant beneficiaries"" and how many were needed for the ""Hop-Tel Lodging"" ANSWER: Lodging is for both the Transplant Department as well as the Fisher House. The Transplant Department requirement is for the Contractor dedicate an estimated 16 rooms until 5:00 pm Sunday through Thursday and an estimated 10 rooms until 5:00 pm Friday and Saturday. The Fisher House requirement is for the Contractor to dedicate an estimated 34 rooms until 8:00 pm Sunday through Thursday and an estimated 7 rooms until 8:00 pm Friday and Saturday. A minimum of three (3) rooms that meet the American Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines for handicap accessibility must be available at the lodging site. QUESTION: What is the average number of historical no show rooms per day? ANSWER: About 2 per month now due to COVID, prior to COVID it was less than that. QUESTION: The SOW indicates standard accommodations then inserts the word Kitchenette and later describes Kitchenette needs. If a hotel doesn t offer kitchenette accommodations. Can they bid full service standard accommodations that include refrigerator and microwaves? ANSWER: YES the standard room is for the patients that are here for the day, the room with the kitchenette is for the patients here for the month. Both standard accommodations and kitchenette accommodations are needed. If a facility can only offer the standard room we would use them for the daily patients only. QUESTION: There is a 3 mile radius stipulation in the bid. If a property is in fact 5 miles from the facility but will offer transportation as stipulated, is this acceptable? ANSWER: It can be up to 5 miles from the medical center as long as a shuttle is available at all times. REQUEST FOR QUOTES CLOSES ON SEPTEMBER 3, 2021 AT 4:30 PM (CST) NO TELEPHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
