- Purchase Description for� Portable Sawmill Howard A Hanson Dam (HAHD) 1.0�� �GENERAL INFORMATION: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers requires one (1) portable sawmill to be procured and delivered to Howard A Hanson Dam located in Ravensdale, Washington. 2.0 SPECIFICATIONS:� Portable Sawmill: Contractor shall supply and deliver one (1) portable sawmill meeting the following minimum criteria identified below. In addition, contractor shall perform the necessary retrofits to make all attachments and options identified function as designed. � ��� �Minimum 50 horsepower engine ��� �Capable of handling logs up to 36"" in diameter ��� �Capable of making width cuts up to 28""� ��� �Capable of making depth cuts up to 10"" ��� �Capable of making length cuts up to 27� ��� �Capable of processing logs weighing up to 4000 lbs ��� �Minimum production of 1000 bf/hr. ��� �Minimum blade length of 180"" ��� �Minimum 5-gallon blade lubrication tank ��� �Equipped with complete hydraulic processing capability to include hydraulic log loading, hydraulic log leveling, hydraulic log turning, hydraulic stabilizing/securing (stops and clamps) ��� �Hydraulic raise and lower as well as forward and revers mechanism on the saw head ��� �Engine driven hydraulic controls ��� �Sawmill shall be portable. Trailer shall meet requirements for highway transport. ��� �Adjustable outriggers ��� �Controls shall have capability to pre-set board thicknesses ��� �Sawmill shall incorporate a debarker (remove bark from logs) ��� �Sawmill shall incorporate a board return� ��� �Shall be supplied with a minimum of 5 blades ��� �Shall be supplied with a cover for the controls and the carriage ��� �Made in the USA ��� �Supplied with two copies of Operations and Maintenance manuals ��� �Supplied with a minimum of 10 replacement blades 3.0 WARRANTY: All components shall be covered by a minimum of 2-year manufacturer�s warranty. 4.0 ACCEPTANCE OF MATERIALS: Materials will be inspected at the delivery point prior to acceptance. Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining the product�s condition as specified until the point of acceptance. New equipment only; no remanufactured or �gray market� items. 5.0 DELIVERY SCHEDULE:� Delivery must be received at the delivery location no later than 220 days after Award. The Contractor shall contact the Project Manager and Project staff ten (10) days prior to any pending deliveries. All deliveries must take place during the Dam�s business hours of Monday through Thursday 7:00am - 3:00pm, excluding Federal holidays.� Contractor's vehicles and delivery vehicles shall carry proof of insurance at all times and shall be equipped with CB radios (to be tuned to Channels 10 or 2 depending on the road traveled) 6.0 DELIVERY LOCATION:� Item shall be delivered FOB DESTINATION to the following address: US Army Corps of Engineers ATTN: Bill Boyle 36932 S.E.
