- Description
- Wheeled Mobility Repair Services VA Nationwide Contract This RFI is issued solely for market research and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP). This RFI does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for any supply or service. Furthermore, the U.S. Government is not seeking quotes, bids or proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this RFI. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. Submittals will not be returned to the responder. The purpose of this additional market research is to improve the Government s Price Schedule for Wheel Mobility Repair Services. We are interested of getting all possible information to develop estimated time to repair and service the Powered Wheelchairs, Wheelchairs, and Scooters, establish a fair and adequate time to repair them, and ability to create consistent billing and reimbursement of repair services. For standardization process, repair time will convert to commercial practices of 15 minutes increments allowing the Government understands how long it takes to repair the equipment unless your company provides a different approach for repair and service of wheeled mobility requirements. This information will improve the forthcoming acquisition, including the solicitation and resulting contract. Attached are the examples of repair, but not inclusive. Please provide list of additional repair services that you are currently providing or known of to be provided for powered wheelchairs, wheelchairs, and scooters (see attached excel sheet format, Wheeled Mobility Repair Services Nationwide Contracts, with tabs for powered wheelchair, wheelchair, and scooter). The primary applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance subcategory of Medical and Surgical Equipment Repair and Maintenance Services. Interested vendors who consider themselves qualified to perform repair services for wheeled mobility equipment are invited to submit a response to this Request for Information Notice by September 13, 2021, 12:00 PM Mountain Time. All responses must be emailed to Susan Dela Cruz, contracting officer at susan.delacruz@va.gov and Joseph Hodge, contract specialist at joseph.hodge@va.gov.
