Description
The EOUSA anticipates award of a Purchase Order, on a sole source basis, to Venio Systems, LLC for Venio electronic discovery (eDiscovery) software for The Executive Office of the United States Attorney's Office (EOUSA), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). OCIO has created a platform in Amazon Web Services that enables broad (but secure) access by the diverse and geographically?dispersed members of a federal litigation team and that contains the tools those federal case teams need to effectively and efficiently investigate and litigate their cases. In order to make the platform viable, OCIO required and continues to require electronic discovery software that is integrated (i.e., data is available for review immediately following processing), supports the processing of a wide diversity of common electronic productivity files and common forensic container files, supports effective early data analysis, supports attorney review, has been successfully deployed in Amazon Web Services, and is capable of being licensed on a per hour basis to allow for software peaking capacity. EOUSA acquired Venio software and integrated it into is cloud?based proof of concept system. EOUSA has integrated Venio software, performing the relevant security assessment and authorization activities required to operate the software on DOJ cases, and developing processes and procedures for making use of Venio software on DOJ cases. Once data processing is started in Venio, the rest of the case data must also be processed in Venio to ensure valid data handling and de?duplication. As a result, EOUSA must continue to license Venio. What is more, replacing Venio with an alternative product at this time would require significant time, effort, and cost. The period of performance is anticipated to twelve months. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations. A Request for Quote will not be available for this requirement. The intent of this solicitation is for informational purposes only. However, any information received within five days after the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. Information in response to this notice may be sent to Maynard Minor, Contracting Officer, at Maynard.Minor@usdoj.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Telephonic questions or requests are strongly discouraged.
