Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is issuing a Small-Business Set Aside Invitation for Bid for dredging and disposal of material at the Stratford Army Engine Plant, located in Stratford, Connecticute.� The NAICS code for this work is 562910.� The period of performance is 375 calendar days.� Any responsible source may submit a bid to be considered by the New England District. This project consists of environmental remediation via mechanical dredging of an outfall drainage channel (OF-008) on the Stratford Army Engine Plant propery to remediate metals and PCBs affected sediments.� Approximately 13,000 cubic yards (CY) of material needs to be removed from the OF-008 drainage channel. Dredged material must be dewatered, solidified with cementitious materials, and placed on-site for future beneficial re-use. A small portion of this material requires off-site disposal at RCRA D (solid waste) and TSCA approved landfills. This material will require segregation during dredging. OF-008 will require backfilling with clean sand material. �All work must be completed within the 12.5-month period-of-performance. Under this contract the successful offeror will be required to provide the equipment and materials required for the dredging and processing of sediment. Please note this solicitation is set aside for certified small businesses.� Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests for hardcopies of this solicitation will be accepted.� The solicitation will only be available online.� In order to download the solicitation, offerors must access the System for Award Management website (SAM.Gov).� All responsible sources mya submit a bid which shall be considered by the New England District.� Additional questions may be emailed to the Contract Specialist at Heather.M.Skorik@usace.army.mil.
