?.## STATEMENT OF WORK Contract Title: Bldg. 143 Security Windows Background: The Office of Security and Law Enforcement guidelines and security measures for storage buildings and warehouses states that Windows that are below 40 from ground level or the roof of a lower abutment, or less than 7.5 m (25 ft.) from windows of an adjoining building, or accessible by a building ledge leading to windows of other floor rooms, security mesh screening for windows is required. Scope: Install security mesh screening for windows is required the outside of the first-floor windows and apply a frosted film to protect the equipment stored inside the warehouse from direct sunlight. Specific: 1. All #304 stainless steel woven mesh 0.7 mm (.028 in.) wire diameter, with tensile strength of 15 kg/mm (800 pounds per linear inch). 2. Mesh 12x12 per 25 mm (1 in.) with main and sub frames of 2.7 mm (12 gauges) carbon steel with baked enamel finish and internal key locking slide bolts. 3. Applied tint will be frosted as to allow light to pass through but reduce the UV light that can damage stored equipment in the warehouse. Performance Monitoring: All work will be inspected by Engineering Staff at the Dayton VAMC before acceptance. All submittals will be sent to COR for approval prior to installation. No work outside the contract is to be done without written approval from the contracting officer. Place of Performance Dayton VA Medical Center 4100 W. 3rd St. Building: 143 Dayton, OH 45428-9000 Period of Performance To be completed within 90 business days from award of contract. It is understood that weather conditions may cause a delay of work. As such, any extensions must be reported to the POC and approved by the Contracting Officer. Delivery Schedule All work to be completed during normal working hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday excluding federal holidays.
