- Description
- The Centennial Challenges program is seeking additional inputs to the Watts on the Moon Challenge rules and questions for Phase 2 of the Watts on the Moon Challenge, proposed to start in 12/8/2021. The challenge focus is to find solutions for power distribution and storage on the lunar surface. As NASA works to extend human exploration of the solar system, unprecedented capacity for distributing and storing electrical and thermal energy generated by a variety of sources is needed to support sustained human presence and the beginning of industrial activity. One of the most significant focus areas for NASA is larger-scale power systems for the lunar surface.
