- Description
- The Transatlantic Middle East District (TAM) is seeking interest and capabilities of experienced contractors capable of performing a Design-Bid-Build (DBB) Construction of a new South Munitions Storage Area (MSA) located at an undisclosed location in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. This project includes earth covered magazines (bunkers) to store up to 3.0M Net Explosive Weight (NEW) munitions storage with the necessary associated paved roads, security fencing, and lightning protection. Munitions support facilities such as Conventional Ammo Maintenance, Precision Guided Munitions (PGM) Maintenance, Trailer Maintenance, and Administrative Facilities will be included. The South MSA will have the necessary access roads and culverts wide enough to support typical munitions vehicles and trailers, communication and electrical, fire protection/distribution, water, wastewater utilities for a complete and useable MSA. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000. The appropriate Northern American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 236220 -- Commercial and Industrial Building Construction, and the Small Business Size Standard is $39,500,000. The Period of Performance for this project is 870 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP). This office anticipates solicitation on or around October 8, 2021 with an award of a contract for these services in March 2022. It is anticipated that a construction site-visit will be conducted mid October 2021. Personnel who are interested in participating are required to submit an application package to USACE for processing. No more than two personnel from each company are allowed to participate in the site visit. Jordanian Citizens must submit the following forms: a. 332 AEW Vetting Request Worksheet.xlsx (Included as an attachment to this post) b. DMS Clearance Sheet.docx (Included as an attachment to this post) c. Color copies of National ID Card, front and back. Personnel who are from other countries and are not Jordanian citizens will submit the following forms to USACE: Personnel who are from other countries, including U.S. Citizens, must submit the following forms: a. 332 AEW Vetting Request Worksheet.xlsx b. DMS Clearance Sheet.docx c. Color copy of passport including the photograph. The application packages and any questions related to this topic shall be submitted via email to both of the USACE point of contacts identified below no later than 10:00AM local Jordan time, 12 September 2021: MAJ Joshua M. McNamara at Steven.J.McNamara@usace.army.mil Companies that successfully prequalify for base access will be provided additional information regarding date, time, and arrival location. Companies that fail to qualify for base access will not be allowed to participate in the site-visit.
