- Description
- The Government is seeking to lease two separate stand-alone buildings: one 12,000RSF for up to 200 persons�and 30,000SF�for up to 450 persons in each of the three Louisiana of Baton Rouge; Lake Charles; and Lafayette.� In making this determination, the Government will consider, among other things, the availability of space that potentially can satisfy the Government�s requirements following a natural disaster while adhering to the 10 USC 2661 USACE authority for a lease term up to one (1) year with options. The ideal space would fit the following:� building specifications in compliance with all federal, state and local ordinances; force protection standards in compliance with Department of Defense�s Unified Facility Criteria; outfitted with either designated or open parking.� Please see the list of requirements and preferences below: fully equipped with office furniture are highly preferred. Facilities with backup generators are highly preferred. at least two meeting rooms, one lockable office, and lockable equipment/supply storage area. Facilities close to I-10 or with quick access to a major highway are preferred. Standalone facilities with well-lit private parking lot and setback from public roadways is REQUIRED (gated/fenced is preferred, but not required) Parking area should provide sufficient space and access for 2 (RV-sized) mobile command vehicles to park with clear view of the sky for satellite communications. Facilities should include sufficient restroom and breakroom facilities for occupancy. Access to commercial high-speed internet service is REQUIRED. - The lease will be awarded based upon the best interest of the government. Cost will not be the sole determining factor. - The Army intends to award this lease as a best value acquisition with tradeoffs in accordance with FAR Part 15, contracting by Negotiation. - Preference will be giving to spaces available with only minor alterations being required.
