Description
INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE � Matrix Material Handling BUREAU OF THE FISCAL SERVICE, Paper Roll Carts SS-FSA-21-139 The Department of the Treasury, Bureau of the Fiscal Service, intends to make award on a sole source basis to Matrix Material Handling, Inc.: 10700 N Garnett Street; Oklahoma City, OK 73114-6010 for Paper Roll Carts. The Government intends to award a single purchase order.� The product has unique or special design/performance features, characteristics, or capabilities that are essential and required to accomplish the project.� No substitute exists that can meet this requirement.� This product has to be custom designed and manufactured.� Details are listed below. Postproduction carts that are able to move full and partial rolls to and from our Unwinder and Rewinder machines, and throughout the facility.� These carts are necessary for the safe and effective transfer of rolls weighing over 1350 pounds. The carts must meet or surpass the capabilities listed below: ?������ Removeable fixed handle roll cart to move loaded cart ?������ Width:� 19 Inches for paper roll ?������ Length: 40 inches ?������ Weight Capacity: >1350 lbs ?������ Four caster replaceable caster wheels ?������ Adjustable foot brake ?������ Cradle depth:� > 2� ?������ Carts match the height of standard pallets for easy transfer ?������ Can move partial or full rolls directly from Unwinder or Rewinder ?������ Allows for one person operation. ?������ May be used for storage and staging of rolls. Warranty:� Warranty period to cover the basic structure of the carts. A sole source to Matrix Material Handling, Inc. is intended for this contract. The requirement requires special sizing paper roll carts for warehouse use. Matrix Material Handling can provide the dimensions of required paper roll carts. The Bureau of the Fiscal Service will consider written responses received no later than 3:00p.m. ET on 9 September 2021. Responses must include sufficient evidence that clearly shows the vendor is capable of providing the requested dimensions. If no written response is received that clearly demonstrates an ability to meet all requirements, is more advantageous to the Government, and is received by the aforementioned deadline, the Bureau of the Fiscal Service shall make award on a sole source basis to Matrix Material Handling, Inc. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE. A request for more information, or a copy of the solicitation, will not be considered an affirmative response to this Special Notice. Telephone responses or inquiries to this Special Notice will NOT be accepted. Qualified contractors must provide the following: 1. The name and location of your company, contact information, and identify your business size (Large Business, Small Business, Disadvantaged Business, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, HubZone, etc.) based on NAICS Code 423830, size standard 100 employees. Please ensure contact information includes the name of the point of contact, email address, and telephone number should the Government have questions regarding individual responses. 2. Whether your products are available through a Government contract vehicle or Open Market. 3. A brief capabilities statement (not to exceed 5 pages) that includes a description of your company's standard line of business, as well as a list of customers your company currently provides these products/services for. 4. Contractors should provide their DUNS, if applicable. Responses to this request must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. ET on 9 September 2021 and must be submitted electronically to purchasing@fiscal.treasury.gov. Add Attn: AJ / HS SS-FSA-21-139 to the subject line of the email. The following file extensions are not allowable and application materials/data submitted with these extensions cannot be considered: .bat, .cmd, .com, .exe, .pif, .rar, .scr, .vbs, .hta, .cpl, html, mhtml, and .zip files The Government does not allow 3rd party messaging systems/secure mail, other than when authorized by the Government.� In those cases, the Government's 3rd party message system will be used when requested. Microsoft Office non-macro enabled compatible documents and .PDF documents are acceptable. If the Offeror determines that other formats are necessary, it is the Offeror�s responsibility to verify with Fiscal Service that those formats are acceptable. Proposal materials with unacceptable or unreadable formats may be found non-responsive No other information regarding this Special Notice will be provided at this time. This notice does not restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. All firms responding to this notice are advised that their response is not a request that will be considered for contract award.
