- On July 1, 2021, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Contracting Office Code 400, Building 65, Second Floor, Room 201, Portsmouth, Virginia 23709 has a requirement for services to provide technical assistance to NNSY and ship�s force for Overhaul and testing of Leslie Valves. This is a SYNOPSIS for commercial services identified above prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Part 12 � Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. PAPER COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This synopsis shall be posted on sam.gov (https://sam.gov). The points-of-contact is Kris Smith, Contract Specialist, at kristoffer.p.smith2@navy.mil, Mrs. Ursula Adams, Contract Specialist, at ursula.adams@navy.mil and the alternate point-of-contact is Ms. Denise L. Lee, Contracting Officer, at denise.l.lee@navy.mil, as well as C430 at USFF_NNSY_NFSH_C430@navy.mil. The Request for Quote (RFQ) Number is N4215821Q0062.� It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The NAICS Code is 332911 (Industrial Valve Manufacturing), Product or Service Code (PSC) L020, and the Small Business Size Standard is 750. The proposed contract action is for commercial services for which the Government intends to make a single award contract with Firm Fixed-price (FFP) provisions. The procurement of the services described above using other than full and open competition, particularly, the sole source award to Moody Marine Services, is appropriate and in accordance with FAR 13.501(a); there is only one (1) qualified source with the unique capabilities to satisfy these requirements (listed below). The contractor is Moody Marine Services.� The solicitation will be released on or about August 31, 2021. Proposal is due September 9, 2021 at 9:00 AM Eastern.� Anticipated award date is September 12, 2021. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. This announcement will close at on 9 September 2021 at 9:00 AM Eastern.
