- Description
- The Indian Health Service, Gallup Service Unit (GSU), located in Gallup, New Mexico 87301 intends to negotiate a sole source award with Dataray, Inc. for Thermal Printer and Annual Maintenance Support.� The North American Industry Classification System or NAICS code is 334111with a small business size standard of 1,250 Employees.� Period of Performance from October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022 as the Base Year; October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023 as the First Option Year; and October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024. In accordance with FAR 13.501(a)(1), acquisitions conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements in FAR 6.� However, sole-source justifications for actions above the simplified acquisition threshold but not exceeding $7.5M (non-urgent and non-compelling as described in FAR 13.500(c)) must use the format at FAR 6.303-2 with proper tailoring.� The action is being accomplished using the principles of FAR 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items in conjunction with FAR 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures - particularly FAR 13.5 in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 1901, ""...to promote efficiency and economy in contracting and to avoid unnecessary burdens for agencies and contractors..."" Exchange of all existing D2 printer interfaces to the new D3 printer interfaces with MedMap Firmware for Gallup Indian Medical Center and Tohatchi Health Clinic.� Hardware Interface with DataRay MedMap Firmware (Includes 5 units for lab package).� It is imperative that GSU enhance the upgrade to meet The Joint Comission and CMS requirements. DataRay technologies are the only source that can supply RPMS interface designed to work with RPMS. DataRay thermal solution provides sole proprietary rights for barcodes printed on thermal wristbands, chart labels, IV labels, lab labels, & pharmacy labels staff scan the barcode, Annual Software Maintenance, and pull up the patient�s file on the computer. Navajo Area Office adopted the DataRay printing solution based on proven satisfaction with this technology at other IHS service units across the country. Gallup Service Unit installed and implemented the DataRay solution in a 2018 Navajo Area Wide acquisition. GSU has been using the DataRay label supplies, parts warranty and support since. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations and a solicitation will not be issued in conjunction with the notice of intent. A determination by the Government whether to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competition or proceed with a sole-source award.
