Synopsis- Notice of Intent to Sole Source This is a combined RFI/Sources Sought/Notice of Intent issued in accordance with FAR Part 5.203 on behalf of the Commander, Fleet Readiness Center (COMFRC) Procurement Group, Patuxent River, MD. This procurement is for the inspection and evaluation, repair, upgrade, training, and sustainment of the industrial plant equipment, listed in paragraph 3.3.2 of Performance Work Statement (PWS) Attachment 1, in support of COMFRC.� The major depot level maintenance centers for this requirement are located at: ����������� Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) - Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, FL ����������� Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) - Naval Air Station, North Island, CA The Fleet Readiness Centers (FRCs) are industrial facilities that rework, repair, and overhaul various aircraft, engines and components.� To support depot level maintenance operations, various industrial plant equipment, along with industrial plant equipment sustainment efforts, are needed to adequately support and meet fleet aircraft schedules and obtain solutions for product lines challenged by obsolescence issues such as materially-aged and technologically-dated industrial plant equipment that negatively impact the command�s capacity to support 4th and 5th generation weapon systems. The Department of Navy intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Lapmaster International, LLC under authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Lapmaster International, LLC, located at 501 W. Algonquin Road, Mount Prospect, IL 60056, is the sole provider and the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), and owns all proprietary information critical to the repair and maintenance of the equipment shown in paragraph 3.3.2 of the PWS Attachment. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 811310 Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance. Although this notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes, interested parties may submit capability statements via email to the Contract Specialist, Elisa VanDevander at elisa.vandevander@navy.mil.� A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
