- INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veteran Affairs intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Evoqua Water Technologies LLC. This order will be for service and maintenance to the Evoqua Water treatment system located at the Hunter Holmes VA Medical Center Richmond VA. The Evoqua certified technician shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, lodging and supervision necessary to perform preventative maintenance for the Evoqua Deionized Water System located in the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Department at the Hunter Holmes McGuire VAMC, 1201 Broad Rock Blvd, Richmond, VA 23249. All work shall be performed by personnel qualified to work on the specific equipment. All work performed shall compliant with CLSI guideline GP40-A4-AMD and shall be designed to assure that the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center is providing the best possible water for patient laboratory testing. All DI and Carbon tanks are considered rentals and will remain the property of Evoqua Water Technologies. This proposed contract action is for services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Part 13. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all expressions of interest received within three (3) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. Interested contractors may identify their capability to provide the services prescribed within this notice and should provide sufficient data for the government to determine them as a comparable alternative to the intended source by sending capability statements in reference to this requirement no later than 16:30 PM EST, September 3, 2021 to: warren.pennil@va.gov.
