Description
This notice is for Solicitation Number 36C24221Q1292 BOILER FEED WATER TURBINE PUMP REPLACEMENT BOILER PLANT at James J. Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 130 West Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, New York 10468. This shall be a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). As a result, all SDVOSB firms may submit an offer, which will be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS Code 236220 and has a size standard of $39.5 Million. The cost estimate range for this project is between $100,000 and $200,000. Scope of Work: This is a construction contract for the James J. Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 130 West Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, New York 10468 to furnish all supervision, labor, equipment, and material necessary to fully replace steam-turbine driven boiler feed water pump and associated components located in the Boiler Plant in accordance with standard industry practices. The replacement work must comply with the applicable federal rules and regulations, mechanical codes, regulating the replacement of the boiler feed water pump. The steam-turbine driven boiler feed water pump provided must meet the minimum performance specifications as shown in the Feedwater Pump Schedule attachment and must be compatible with existing components. The replacement of the turbine pump shall be installed in accordance with manufacturers recommendations. The turbine pump replacement shall be new and final approved shall be at the determination of the James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Engineering Services. The contractor shall perform the following tasks: Remove and dispose of existing turbine pump and associated components Install new turbine pump and associated components (base, anchors, piping, fittings, gaskets, fasteners, etc.) and make necessary connections Field verify correct torque on all fasteners with Engineering Services and have superintendent / project manager on site for commissioning of turbine pump. Commissioning will be conducted with Engineering Services and the Boiler Plant manager at project completion. Contractor responsible for coordination and costs required to have pump manufacturer s field service engineer present during commissioning Field verify measurements and connections prior to providing proposal Provide 3rd party visual weld inspections by certified weld inspector (AWS) as applicable Provide submittals for review on all material, applicable procedures and certifications Provide updated MS Project schedule upon request by Engineering Services within 2 working days Provide a critical spare parts list with pricing and warranty information for the pump by the manufacturer Provide a construction log to Engineering Services each day to include the following: Summary of work performed and any potential project related risks / concerns Major materials received Number of construction crew members on site and total hours worked Delays / interferences in project work Safety near misses and accidents Corrective actions regarding section 3 Cleanup and Disposal . Project Completion: Sixty (60) Calendar Days from the Notice-to-Proceed date. All other details and information shall be contained in the solicitation which shall be posted on https://sam.gov. The solicitation will be released on or about 08/13/2021. The response submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. All prospective offerors must be currently registered in www.sam.gov and be registered and verified as a SDVOSB in www.vip.vetbiz.gov at the time of offer submission and before award of this procurement.
