- QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS: 1).Delivery timeline. Any specific time frame OKNG is looking to receive their trailer? Just note, trailer manufacturing timelines are abnormally long right now, as are other automotive and supply chain timelines.ANSWER:The Government would like to be in receipt of the mobile weapons cleaning system within 90 days of award. 2).Any idea how many weapons the OKNG wants to clean simultaneously? They mention 500 small arms but the assumption is they will clean those in batches? ANSWER: It is the Government's plan that the system would be able to accept an intermittent, but steady flow of weapons, as groups of soldiers come off of the qualification ranges in batches. The 500 number would be expected to all complete cleaning in one day. We do understand that cleaning weapons such as the MK-19 Grenade launcher would be much slower, based on the size the weapon, and that M4 rifles would be much faster, and the pistols would be even faster (based on volume). 3).Does the OKNG plain to change out the cleaning solution on a frequency basis of 500 weapons? ANSWER: The Government prefers the system to have cleaning solutions that are eco-friendly and recyclable. With requested cleaning solution filtration, we would plan to only replenish the cleaning solution supply as required, and not completely change it out, unless it is somehow contaminated by a non-planned source. 4).Minimum of 6 covered areas for work; does the OKNG want these work areas in the interior of the trailer or exterior under the awning? ANSWER:The covered work areas would need to be on the interior of the trailer in order to maintain access to cleaning and lubrication areas, as well as to the air compression hoses. 5).Style and number of doors on the trailer? Rear swing doors, rear ramp door, one swing door curbside, etc? ANSWER:This would be at the discretion of the Offeror. The Government envisions front and rear ramp doors, just to facilitate a constant flow of individuals and equipment through the process, with optional side doors. The Oklahoma National Guard (OKNG) requires a mobile weapons cleaning system. This system would expedite small arms weapons cleaning and facilitate a large volume of weapons (up to 500 weapons) to be cleaned while still on site at the firing ranges. This process would save military units time in the cleaning process, while addressing the need to keep lead and heavy metals out of our facilities.
