- Description
- The Naval Medical Logistics Command (NMLC) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b)).� The proposed source is STAXI Corporation, 424 Williamson Zebulon Rd., Zebulon, GA 30295. The Naval Medical Logistics Command (NMLC) has a requirement for twenty (20) Medical Transport Standard Chairs, color: Red, aboard the USNS Mercy (TAH-19). The item must be configured with non-removable rear center mounted 02 oxygen tank holders (P/N: ST081) to reduce footprint in restricted access areas. Must have non-removable lifting footrest for ergonomic comfort and medical reasons, and have lifting armrests for safe patient transfer. The medical chairs must offer attendant propelled transportation, have non-folding/non-collapsible frame, automatic locking brakes (failsafe breaking system). The item must have anti-tip device a unique smaller rear wheel design, increasing patient safety on board the USNS MERCY medical treatment facility. Vendor shall be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized dealer, authorized distributor, or authorized reseller for the proposed equipment, such that OEM warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM. This procurement is for new equipment only. All items must be covered by the manufacturer�s warranty, and service associated with the OEM terms and conditions, and procured through a manufacturer-approved distribution channel. Distributors and resellers must be able to document ability to provide items through manufacturer-approved distribution channels upon request. All software licensing, warranty, and service associated with the equipment shall be in accordance with the OEM terms and conditions. The equipment, including claims made for the product, shall be compliant with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, with respect to marketing and delivering medical products for use in the United States of America. These requirements shall apply even if delivery is requested outside of the United States of America. The equipment shall be installed in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements. Upon delivery, the contractor shall be responsible for uncrating the equipment, transporting it to the location of intended shipping, and removing all track created in this process. In addition, the contractor will be required to comply with local facility COVID-19 guidance.
