- In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) / 8.405-6(a)(2), this Notice of Intent is to inform all parties the Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19 located at 6162 South Willow Drive Suite 300, Greenwood Village, CO 80111 intends to award a sole source procurement for the following requirement to the large business manufacturer, KCI USA, Inc. dba 3M Medical Solutions, 12930 Interstate Highway 10 W San Antonio, TX 78249-2248 ITEM # DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES QTY UNIT OF ISSUE 0001 Inpatient Wound Therapy Vacuum, Rental: V.A.C Ulta Negative Pressure, Wound therapy Machine 544 EA KCI is the sole manufacturer of V.A.C.® Therapy products. KCI V.A.C.® Therapy units (including V.A.C. Ulta 4) can only be rented from and serviced by KCI due to technology and processes proprietary to KCI. KCI licensed distributors are not authorized to rent KCI V.A.C. ® Therapy products to healthcare facilities. The procurement of VAC Ulta Inpatient Wound Therapy Vacuum also known as a Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) machine for rental at the Salt Lake City VA Medical Center. The VAC Ulta is manufactured by a large business, KCI USA, Inc. dba 3M Medical Solutions. This brand name justification is intended to result in the award of a firm-fixed price purchase order for an inpatient wound therapy vacuum rental. The George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center requires the procurement of VAC Ulta Inpatient Wound Therapy Vacuum also known as a Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) machine for rental at the Salt Lake City VA Medical Center. The NPWT used to continuously monitor and maintains target pressure at the wound site. The associated North America Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 339112 and the Business Size Standard is 1,000 employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 4:00 PM Mountain Standard Time, Tuesday September 7, 2021. Information received in response to this notice must clearly demonstrate the capability of meeting the Government s need as stated above. Include any relevant information (specifications, cut sheets, brochures, capability statement, etc.) confirming the ability to supply the products and/or any services outlined in this notice. Responses to this notice are to be sent to Aretha.Cannon@va.gov. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government is not responsible for any potential costs incurred from interested parties desiring to respond to this notice.
