- The Fort Hood Health Contracting Cell Regional Health Contracting Office, Central Army Health Contracting Activity, MEDCOM, Fort Hood, Texas has�awarded a Firm Fixed-Price, sole source contract to Draeger, Inc, an other than small business, under authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) -- Only One Source Reasonably Available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization, for updates/repair of the Apollo Anesthesia workstations locationed at Carl R. Darnall Amy Medical Center (CRDAMC) fort Hood, TX, 76544. Currently the Department of Logistics, Medical Maintenance Section at CRDAMC does not have the capability or personnel that can maintain and support the Government owned Apollo Anesthesia Workstations. The Period of Performance is 01 October 2021 to 30 September 2022 plus four (4) option years. Draeger, Inc. is the sole manufacturer of existing equipment and presently provides the care, maintenance and service of their equipment. Currently, Draeger, Inc does not have any authorized third party maintenance service providers for their products.� Draeger, Inc. maintains all proprietary and technical date rights to their equipment and does not sell any of its parts, original equipment or services to any third party vendor. Draeger, Inc. also does not provide any training on their equipment to outside personnel. The Contract Specialist conducted research, and determined that if there are unauthorized third party repairs or has been any alteration or modification to the equipment, Draeger, Inc. has indicated that they will not be responsible for any defects that may come about from such unauthorized repair or modifications. At this time, Draeger, Inc. is the only authorized service provider for their existing products, therefore if any third party maintenance is performed, the end user could be without their equipment for an unspecified amount of time, which may lead to possible disruption of patient care at CRDAMC. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquires will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.� This is a an award notice of a sole source contract to Dreager INC. The Contracting Officer determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonable available. The Fort Hood Regional Health Contracting Office - Central intends to make a sole source award to Dreager INC, 3135 QUARRY RD TELFORD PA 18969-1042.��
