- Description
- The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) is conducting market research to determine potential strategies and industry capabilities to execute Modeling and Simulation (M&S) in support of the Missile Defense System (MDS). This Request for Information (RFI) is part of the overall market research activity to collect, organize, maintain, analyze and present data in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. MDA is seeking responses from all responsible sources, including large and small businesses. Sources with capabilities within any of the areas outlined within this RFI should respond. Sources are not required to meet all the capabilities outlined within this RFI. A small business set-aside decision is possible based on the information received. Small businesses responding to this RFI should identify their small business category/status for the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) applicable to this RFI. MDA reserves the right to request follow-up information and/or capability presentations from RFI respondents, as needed, because of the information received from this RFI. Information received from follow-up questions and presentations are considered part of the overall market research activity per FAR Part 15.201. Based on the level of interest and capability of industry to perform in these areas, the Government reserves the right to develop an acquisition strategy to pursue a solicitation as a single or multiple competitive procurement(s). Essential to all of the acquisition approaches under consideration is the establishment of an enduring strategy for the execution of M&S functions across the program lifecycle, either under a single prime contract, or as one of the multiple contracts. This is a market research announcement for informational planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), nor is it to be construed as a commitment by MDA. Information submitted will be considered as an exchange of information and may be used as part of future RFP(s). No RFP/solicitation will be issued at this time. The Government will not pay for the information solicited herein nor for any costs accumulated while responding to this RFI. This includes, but is not limited to, costs associated with attending any Industry Day activities, or for any other costs incurred by a participant who elects to provide information in response to this RFI. RFI responses will not be construed as an offer and will not be accepted by MDA to form a binding contract. Approved for Public Release 21-MDA-10943 (31 Aug 21)
