- Page 2 of 2 Page 2 of 2 36C24221Q1457 SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE GE VCT UPGRADE SYRACUSE VAMC The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office NC02 in conjunction with the Syracuse VA Medical Center, 800 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210, intend to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS code is 334517 with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with GE Healthcare for GE VCT System Upgrade. This contract will be a Firm Fixed Price sole source. The Syracuse VAMC requires the purchase of a GE VCT System upgrade. The existing 64 slice GE VCT CT scanner is 10 years old and is waiting for replacement in 2023. The current operating console (core operational part) for the GE Lightspeed VCT 64 slice scanner is starting to malfunction and is at the end of life. The manufacturer must supply the GE Lightspeed VCT scanner with a new operating console (GE propriety core part for operation). The part must be the newest version in software and hardware and must be an original manufactured part. Other persons may identify their interest by responding to this requirement by Friday, September 10, 2021 at 10 am EDT. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
