Description
The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) intends to award on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) - Only One Source Reasonably Available, a firm-fixed price contract to AutoMedx, LLC for the purchase of two (2) SAVe II+ ventilators (Manufacturer No. 70110H) and peripheral items for the National Emergency Tele-Critical Care Network (NETCCN) simulation environment in support of COVID-19 research on behalf of the Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC), Fort Detrick, MD. The SAVe II+ ventilators are deployed with the Point-of-Injury (POI) and pre-hospital medical providers in forward operating environments and, in order to provide research participants with a realistic testing environment and to ensure baseline familiarity is established prior to National Emergency Tele-Critical Care Network platform testing, TATRC absolutely needs to provide the same equipment that medical providers are familiar with. AutoMedx is the sole manufacturer and distributer of the SAVe II+ ventilator. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 339112 and PSC 6615. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS. This notice of intent is to give notice of the Government's intent to make a sole source award. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. Contractors who can provide the USAMRAA with the required products are invited to respond to this notice of intent. This announcement fulfills the synopsis requirements under FAR 5.102(a)(6) and 5.203(a). USAMRAA intends to publish a solicitation no sooner than 6days after publishing this synopsis. Acknowledgement of receipt of responses will not be made, nor will respondents be notified of the evaluation of the information received. All questions and responses concerning this notice shall be emailed to Karyn Williams at karyn.m.williams2.civ@mail.mil .
