Description

The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) intends to award on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) - Only One Source Reasonably Available, a firm-fixed price contract to Control-X, LLC for rotator chair designed to integrate with custom virtual reality graphic software for on-line, real-time integrated assessment of the neurological integrity of the body's vestibular-visual-spinal balance systems under virtual reality (VR) conditions relevant to aviation in support of the United States Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory (USAARL). The Control-X, LLC device will enable USAARL's collaboration with the Naval Aerospace Medical Research Unit at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton as well as with the Institute of Human and Machine Cognition (IHMC) both of which have compatible Control-X vestibular research motion devices. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 333318 and PSC 6615. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS. This notice of intent is to give notice of the Government's intent to make a sole source award. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. Contractors who can provide the USAMRAA with the required services are invited to respond to this notice of intent.� This announcement fulfills the synopsis requirements under FAR 5.102(a)(6) and 5.203(a). Acknowledgement of receipt of responses will not be made, nor will respondents be notified of the evaluation of the information received.
