- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to revise the response date for the RFQ and to answer questions received. The response date for the RFQ is changed from 09/10/2021 at 12:00 EST The response date for the RFQ is changed to 09/15/2021 at 12:00 EST Below are questions and answers received regarding the RFQ 1) Is there an existing as-built of existing valving, zones, and flush points At the beginning of each week, contractor will be provided a series of checklists with specific fixtures to be flushed and or tested for that week 2) How will unknown zones be handled? Contractor will only flush the fixtures on the checklist. 3) What if a zone is so large/inaccessible that it can t be accomplished within the designated shift? VA provided checklist is broken down by fixture. The amount of time needed to properly flush the fixtures on each checklist will not exceed 8 hours. Four checklists will be provided for each day. 4) Will there be an additional expectation to install extra valves/flush points? This contract is for flushing and biocide testing only. 5) Will the VA require routine legionella sampling, testing, and reporting to determine the efficacy of the flushing activities? This contract is for flushing and biocide testing only. 6) Scope of work requests 4 personnel on-site 7 days per week. Is overtime authorized? Weekend pay differentials? Reason being is that amount of coverage requires an odd mix (and hard to fill) of FTEs/PTEs in the number of at least 6 individuals, but possibly more. Proper scheduling and payroll of their staff is the responsibility of the contractor. Contractor will be given checklists with enough work for 32 manhours per day. (4 eight hour checklists) Refer to SOW for work hours. 7) Is 4 personnel on-site a minimum requirement? In the event of illness or other event(s), are we required to have a stand-by individual ready to fill any gaps on given duty days? Contractor will be given checklists with enough work for 32 manhours per day. (4 eight hour checklists). Performance will be monitored weekly. Emergencies will be handled on a case by case basis.
