- Questions and Answers Solicitation 36C25921Q0709 What is the total LBS per pick? and who is pick it up right now? Range is between 6,000 to 9,000 per month. However, it may be more or less than that. The last 12 months, except for one month, was between that range. The exception was 12,182 LBS. The current contractor s name and the contract number is not applicable to the new contracts requirements. Would smaller containers be acceptable as long as they were on wheels? For example, we carry a 43-gallon clamshell tote that we would like to utilize for this opportunity. Smaller containers are not acceptable. 96 Gallon on wheels is needed. Could you please break the waste streams out into the following categories per pound in the bid schedule? a. Regulated Medical Waste 6,000 9,000 LBS per month b. Pathological Waste 100 200 LBS per month c. Chemotherapeutic Waste Chemotherapy waste removal is not part of the solicitation. d. Non-RCRA pharmaceutical Waste (If any) Non-RCRA pharmaceutical waste removal is not part of the solicitation. Is the pathological waste required to be incinerated or can it be disposed of per state of destruction regulations? All of the following agencies requirements must be met: Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Department of Transportation (DOT) Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) The Contractor shall, without additional expense to the Government, be responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses and permits, and for complying with any applicable Federal, State, and Municipal laws, codes, and regulations in connection with the prosecution of the work and disposal of Regulated Medical Waste. Would paragon waste destruction meet the incineration criteria for pathological waste? All of the following agencies requirements must be met: Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Department of Transportation (DOT) Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) The Contractor shall, without additional expense to the Government, be responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses and permits, and for complying with any applicable Federal, State, and Municipal laws, codes, and regulations in connection with the prosecution of the work and disposal of Regulated Medical Waste. I am hoping to find out if the subject effort is a new requirement or a follow-on to an existing contract? If the latter, can I please find out the incumbent contractor's name and contract number? The current contract expires on 10/31/2021. The incumbent contractor s name and the contract number is not applicable to the new contracts requirements. How many 96 Gallon get picked up from each location? 60 containers and we ll adjust if necessary. We currently transport our bio to the collection area and place it in the bio containers to be picked up by the contractor. The purpose of the 96 Gallon with wheels is so housekeepers can transport bio to the collection area in a bio bin and retrieve an empty to take back to their patient ward. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
