Description
STATEMENT OF SPECIFICATIONS For Purchase of Dust Collector 1. SCOPE OF WORK: The following sets forth the minimum requirements for the procurement of one (1) dust collection, fume arms & ventilation system. 2. EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION: the dust collector system will be dedicated to the weld fabrication tables in Bldg. 234-2nd Floor, Welding Area. 3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS: 3.1. Dust Collector (BRAHM Collector 4) 3.1.1. Collector Body 3.1.1.1. Construction: Fully welded heavy duty gauge steel 3.1.1.2. Dimensions of unit: 42� (W) x 78� (D) x 69� (T) 3.1.1.3. Motor/Blower:10HP, 3.1.1.4. Air Flow: 6,000 CFM at 6� of static pressure 3.1.1.5. Silencing � Internal noise abatement in motor/blower compartment to dampen noise (70-85dB at 5�distance). 3.1.1.6. Powder Coat Paint- Powder coat paint of all surface inside and out. 3.1.1.7. Dust Tray - Dust Tray shall be provided for removal of particulate 3.1.1.8. Flow Indicating Device 3.1.1.8.1. The system shall have a flow indication device installed such that it is calibrated to the dust collection system in order to measure flow rate when the system is operating. This flow indicating device shall be procured from the approved flow indicating device list generated by code 106 3.1.1.9. Filter and Pulsing Cleaning Operation 3.1.1.9.1. Pulse Nozzles: four (4) 3.1.1.9.2. Filter Cartridges: Four (4) PTFE cartridges, E11 rated 3.1.1.9.3. Filter Media: 200 square feet of media in each filter at 99.5% efficiency on 0.3 micron sized particles and larger. 3.1.1.9.4. Pulse Valve- Two (2) 1.5� pulsing valves, pulse controller with automatic or manual operation. 3.1.1.10. Electrical Controls shall include: 3.1.1.10.1. Motor starter, ON/OFF switch, pressure gauge, integrated disconnect switch, and overload in a NEMA 12 electrical enclosure. 3.1.1.10.2. Electrical Requirements: 3-Phase, 460 Volt. 3.1.1.10.3. VFD- Variable frequency drive. 3.1.1.10.4. Fire Suppression System. 3.2. Contractor shall provide Three (3) 8� x 10� Fume Arms: 3.2.1. Hanging Extraction Arm 3.2.1.1. Diameter � 8� 3.2.1.2. Range � 10� 3.2.2. Suction Hood 3.2.2.1. Connection Diameter � 8� 3.2.2.2. Inlet Diameter � 12� 3.2.2.3. Impact Plate 3.2.2.4. Hood Material: Aluminum/Powder (Painted) 3.2.3. Steel Wall Bracket 3.2.3.1. Connection diameter: 8� 3.2.3.2. Length: 16� 3.2.4. Custom Stands to support Fume Arms 3.2.4.1. Overall length: 10 feet 3.3. Job lot of Duct Work 3.3.1. Job lot of duct work shall be sufficient to connect all components i.e. duct work for dust collector to fume arms and a separate duct work connecting from the dust collector to existing wall penetration venting out. 3.4. Spark Coolers 3.4.1. One (1) �Spark Coolers� shall be included in the main duct. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE: NNSY shall be responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements specified herein. The machine and all ancillary equipment shall be completely conform to the requirements specified herein prior to the contractor requesting origin inspection from Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any inspections set forth in the purchase description where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed equirements. 5. INSTALLATION: N/A 6. TRAINING: N/A. 7. OPERATOR / MAINTENANCE / REPAIR MANUALS: 7.1. The equipment shall be furnished with two (2) hard copies of the manufacture�s standard Operation, Maintenance, and Repair Manual(s).8. LIFTING AND HANDLING: N/A9. TECHNICAL POC: N/A 8.
